Editorial August 2015

What a month July was!  Conexión participated at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s First Friday Coffee and made some great contacts there.  Over 300 people attended an event organized by the RPM Committee of the Chamber. The RPM Committee is top notch and inventive in the activities they host and we are honored to be part of it.

On 10 July, we attended the Downtown Panama City Friday Fest and specifically the Latin Street Fiesta which we assisted with advice on the artists and also supported it via pro-bono advertising.  Check out the blurb and pictures from that event in this edition and we also posted several pictures in our Facebook site.

Then, on 26 July, we hosted our Conexión Hispanics and Friends Linked networking social in Tallahassee, an event that Rudy Saéz and his Breeze Entertainment company co-hosted with us.   There is also a report on that event in this edition.

A very busy rest of the summer awaits us as we provide media sponsorship for two great events in the area, the Hispanic Festival in Tally on 5 September and also the United for a Good Cause Inc. “Hispanic Fest 2015” on 26 September in Okaloosa Island.  Check out the ads for these two events in this edition and if you live near either one, please do your best to attend and support the activities.

Next month, our September edition will be a special one, as we move into the Hispanic Heritage Month Observance (15 Sep – 15 Oct), we will use this edition to make a special effort to also acknowledge the great contribution that Hispanics have made to this great nation we live in.  As the Hispanic population of North/NW Florida and SE Alabama continues to grow, it is our primary mission with Conexión Media Group, to make sure that we play a positive role in that growth.  We thank our advertisers, all of them large and small, for supporting us and we make a commitment to them and our readers to keep getting better and better with each edition!

God Bless and to all a great rest of the summer!

This is just placeholder text. Don’t be alarmed, this is just here to fill up space since your finalized copy isn’t ready yet. Once we have your content finalized, we’ll replace this placeholder text with your real content.

Sometimes it’s nice to put in text just to get an idea of how text will fill in a space on your website.

Traditionally our industry has used Lorem Ipsum, which is placeholder text written in Latin. Unfortunately, not everyone is familiar with Lorem Ipsum and that can lead to confusion. I can’t tell you how many times clients have asked me why their website is in another language!

There are other placeholder text alternatives like Hipster Ipsum, Zombie Ipsum, Bacon Ipsum, and many more. While often hilarious, these placeholder passages can also lead to much of the same confusion.

If you’re curious, this is Website Ipsum. It was specifically developed for the use on development websites. Other than being less confusing than other Ipsum’s, Website Ipsum is also formatted in patterns more similar to how real copy is formatted on the web today.
