4th Youth Leadership Conference – April 22, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Fort Walton Beach
In partnership with the B&GCEC and Okaloosa Saves, the conference is designed to: cultivate leadership skills, empower attendees with tools, resources, and inspiration to live and model civic action in the community while helping them discover their purpose and potential.
Open to 7th – 12th-grade students in public, private, parochial and/or home-schooled from any of our area’s surrounding districts.
A key component of this year’s conference will be the Living on My Own (LOMO) hands-on, real-life simulation. LOMO gives young people the opportunity to experience their futures in a fun and exciting way. LOMO is designed to be a partnership among University of Florida/IFAS Extension Programs, community partners, and schools.
We will also have other area and regional speakers and leadership experts participating.
We are seeking business sponsors and individual donors. This event is not a fundraiser for our organization, it is a community service project. The donations will help us defray related costs and provide scholarships to cover the $10.00 tuition for students who may not be able to afford it. Light appetizers, soft drinks, and water will be provided. Donations deadline is April 16th.
